PERFORMANCES AND COMPETITIONS
Competitions
If your dancer has been invited by the teacher to participate in a competition, you have the right to accept or decline. Entry fees apply and range from $18 - $110 per student in 2025, depending on whether it is a group, trio, duo, or solo entry. Plus extra admin costs and rental of rehearsal space.
Please let us know whether you would like to be a part of this. Fees due January each year for competitions happening in Feb-May.
Recital
In June we will have a year-end show. There is no extra fee to participate, but audience members, including parents, will need to purchase a ticket.
All presale tickets $16 each, but children 4 and under are free. $20 at the door.

Parents helping with tickets and other recital tasks: most tickets are free, but please confirm with Donna if you would like a free ticket
REGISTRATION FEES
We charge each dancer an annual registration fee of $20. ​​If you are registering several people in the same family at the same time we offer a discounted rate of $35 per family.
​
Your registration fee covers both gymnastics and dance.
If you have already registered for gymnastics this year, you do not have to pay the $20 registration fee for dance classes.
DANCE CLASS FEES 2025 - 2026
Group Classes
All regular group classes have the same fee structure.
All prices include GST and apply to our 10-month dance season from September to June​

Weekly 30 min classes: $400 per year, or $40 per month

Weekly 45 min classes: $500 per year, or $50 per month

Weekly 60 min classes: $600 per year, or $60 per month

Weekly 90 min classes: $800 per year, or $80 per month

Couples Classes
Ballroom or Salsa, etc: $14 per dancer per class for beginner short term classes.
Example: 9 weeks of salsa costs $14 x 2 dancers x 9 weeks = $252 per couple.

Solos, Duos, and private classes

Weekly 15 min solo time: $600 per year, or $60 per month

Weekly 15 min duo time: $400 per year, or $40 per month per dancer

Weekly 15 min trio time: $300 per year, or $30 per month per dancer

Weekly 15 min private group: $250 per year, or $25 per month per dancer

Multiple Classes of One Style
If your dancer participates in two group classes of the same style of dance you pay for the total time of that style, not for two classes.
Example: If your child takes tap choreo for ages 8 - 10 and tap choreo for ages 10 – 12 and tap technique for a total of 90 minutes, you will be billed for 90 minutes. However, please note that solos and duos are calculated separately.
Prices are as follows, with "year" meaning ten months from September to June:

90 min per week of one style: $800per year, or $80 per month

1 hr 45 min per week of 1 style: $900 per year, or $90 per month​

Free Classes
Pay for 3 classes of dance covering 3 styles for any one dancer, and get a 4th class free. Example: pay for hip hop, ballet, and tap. Get lyrical or jazz or acro for free. One of your paid classes may be gymnastics, downstairs in the Chilliwack Gymnastics Club. Solos and duos not included.

Add this 45 min technique class to any other group class for only $30/mo!!
Ballet barre/tech 60 min class is also discounted by $20/mo if taking another group class.

DANCE FAQS
Dance Attire
You are responsible for providing your dancer with proper dance clothing and footwear for class. This includes tap shoes for tap classes, and ballet shoes for ballet classes. Come dressed to move - stretchy clothing is ideal, particularly body suit and tights. For hip hop classes running shoes are fine. Baton classes: you must purchase a baton that fits your dancer. We can supply one if that makes it easier. Cost will be whatever the going rate is at the time, probably at least $35.
Costumes
Costumes are required for participation in competitions, parades, and in the year-end show/recital in June. We encourage all students to participate.
Most of the time you will have the option to rent. Rental price is $17 per full costume, and you can use it for all performances and photos for the season. There may be an option to purchase in some cases.
We make an effort to keep costume costs down to $45 - $80 per dancer per dance. Some could be a bit more or cheaper.
Most of our costumes are purchased from a costume company.
It is the teacher's choice whether you will be expected to find or sew your own costume, rent from the studio, buy one on your own that the teacher has chosen, or buy one that the teacher has purchased. In 2024 - 25 over 90% of costumes were available for rent.
